Alert Update: Wisconsin Appraiser License Format Change

We want to inform you of a recent change in the Wisconsin appraiser license format that may impact your LoanSafe reports.

On December 18, 2025, the Wisconsin license number format changed to include spaces around the dashes in their license number (1805 – 9 instead of 1805-9). As a result, LoanSafe’s current matching logic interprets these as different licenses. This change has led to an increase in Alert ID ASC_002, which indicates:

ASC search returned a match on [license number] with state license status other than active.

In these cases:

• The license without spaces (e.g., 1805-9) is now marked inactive.

• The license with spaces (e.g., 1805 – 9) is the correct active license.

Action Required:
Please ensure that the active license number (with spaces) is included in your LoanSafe request to avoid false alerts or clear the alert after confirming the license number is accurate.

We will update LoanSafe’s matching logic to accommodate this new format. However, this enhancement will not be available until mid-February 2026.
